Nature Reviews Genetics published a research highlights article about Simon Martin’s study of speciation genomics that was published in Genome Research last month. The paper was also highlighted by F1000, with a great review written by Katie Peichel.

We have just posted our first paper to the new biology preprint archive, Bioarxiv. The paper describes a RAD tag study of parallel hybrid zones in Peru and Ecuador in the co-mimics, H. melpomene and H. erato. We compare methods including de novo assembly versus reference mapping and admixture mapping versus Fst outlier analyses.
