Martijn Timmermans has just published a paper in Proc Roy Soc on the amazingly polymorphic Papilio dardanus, using association mapping and BAC walks to identify the engrailed gene as the best candidate for the locus controlling the wing pattern switch. The paper was also covered by Science Daily.
